Navigate — this map or Maps / Waze

StopSorted sorts the run. In Settings you choose how directions work: stay on this map for turns, Done, and Skip, or hand the roads to Google Maps, Waze, Sygic, or Yandex — same as before.

Stay on this map (optional)

1. Open the menu → Settings and turn on Navigate on StopSorted map. Leave it off if you prefer Maps / Waze.
2. Tap Navigate on the current stop, or Start navigation.
3. You stay on the StopSorted map. The road ahead highlights in blue. A full-width bar at the bottom shows the next turn (icon, how far, and the instruction — for example “120 m” and “Turn left onto Smith St”). If another turn follows soon, a short Then line appears. Under that, this stop’s address with Done and Skip. The map sits above the bar so the road stays in view.
4. The map follows you along the road and pulls back sooner as you go faster so you can see corners coming. Near a turn it frames the corner, then zooms in for the last stretch. If you pan away, tap the recenter control to follow again. While you drive, the phone quietly keeps map tiles for this stop and the next one so the map can keep working for a bit if signal drops.
5. Tap the speaker on the turn bar to mute — the bar still shows. Spoken turns use the voice already on your phone, not the office. You get an early cue with the road name (or roundabout exit), a short reminder at the turn (“Turn right” / “Take the first exit”), then a continue-with-distance cue on longer stretches — not the full street name every time.
6. If you leave the sorted path, the app finds a new way and says so briefly. If you have already turned onto a local road that is about as quick, it stays with you — it will not keep sending you back to the freeway. If you have no signal, it keeps the path it already has — it will not draw a new way until you are back online, unless you turned on Keep maps for this run offline before you lost signal. New roads need the download.
7. Near the stop, the bar says You’ve arrived and Done stands out. Tap Done or Skip on that same bar as you go. The next unfinished stop stays on this map — it does not open Maps on its own. After the last stop, the map keeps turns going to the finish address (heading back). There is no Done on that last leg — tap Stop navigation when you arrive, or Open in Maps if you want that app for the drive. If the phone is offline, Done and Skip stay on this phone and show Waiting to sync until the office gets them. Tap Stop navigation anytime to leave turn-by-turn and go back to the normal map (Done / Skip still work from the stop list).
8. Tap Open in Maps only when you want that app’s turn-by-turn. That uses the app you picked under Choose navigation app. Google Maps should start directions to the pin — you should not need to tap Start.

Optional: in Settings turn on Keep maps for this run offline while you still have signal. StopSorted downloads this area (the map plus the roads) for the leftover stops. Navigate still opens Google unless Navigate on StopSorted map is on. With the pack, that map can get a new path without signal. New roads need the download.

This path does not use the Done / Skip notification or the map bubble. The quiet location on notice still shows so GPS keeps working.

Turn Navigate on StopSorted map off anytime in Settings to go back to Maps / Waze as usual.

Maps / Waze (usual path)

1. Leave Navigate on StopSorted map off.
2. After the run is sorted, tap Navigate on the current stop (or Start navigation when the list is expanded).
3. Pick Google Maps, Waze, Sygic, or Yandex in Settings → Choose navigation app.
4. The first time you navigate (Android 10+), choose how you want Done / Skip:

• Bubble on the map — tap the StopSorted chip for Done (gold tick), Skip, or Open (leaves Maps, closes the chip, and brings StopSorted back). On phones that block Android bubbles (some Vivo models), StopSorted asks once to appear on top and shows the same chip that way. The notification still works as backup.
• Notification — tap Done or Skip on the StopSorted notification (works on every phone). Open there does the same as the chip: leaves Maps and returns to StopSorted

1. On older phones, StopSorted uses the notification automatically.
2. You can turn the chip on or off later in Settings → Also show a bubble on the map. The chip stays collapsed until you tap it. After Open it goes away. After Done or Skip it stays and shows the next stop (or Finish after the last one). The expanded chip shows this stop, the actions, the next stop, and how many are left.
3. Tap Done when you finish a stop, or Skip if you cannot complete it. Directions to the next pin should start in Maps — you should not need to confirm Exit navigation. After the last stop, Maps opens the finish address. Tap I'm back on the chip when you arrive. You should see one confirmation, not two. A long day stays one pin at a time, not every leftover stop in one Maps list. The nav app only handles the roads. Your office map keeps updating because StopSorted stays connected in the background (location notice + Done / Skip controls). If signal drops, Done and Skip are held on the phone and sync when you are back online — look for Waiting to sync. If a send fails, the banner says Couldn't sync a stop — will retry.

You can switch later in the app menu → Settings → Nav controls. If the chip cannot show, StopSorted uses the notification and tells you.
