Permissions the app needs
Location and notifications — plus an optional chip for Done / Skip on the map.

Why we ask first
Before Android’s permission screens, the app explains:
- Location — keeps your map and arrival times accurate while you deliver. On a company (fleet) phone, the office can also see where you are during a run. Free / Play Store use does not send continuous GPS to an office.
- Notifications — run updates and Done / Skip on the StopSorted nav notification while Maps or Waze is open
- Bubbles / map chip (Android 10+) — optional. A StopSorted chip on the map for Done / Skip / Open. Most phones use Android bubbles. If your phone blocks those, StopSorted asks once to appear on top (same idea as a chat head) and only then.
While you deliver, StopSorted may show a quiet location on notice so GPS still updates when Maps or Waze is open — and when you stay on the StopSorted map.
If you leave the chip off, navigation still works — use the StopSorted notification for Done / Skip (buttons stay visible on the collapsed notification). Change your choice anytime in the app menu → Settings → Nav controls.
If Navigate on StopSorted map is on, you do not need the Done / Skip notification or the bubble. Those are only for when Maps or Waze is open. The location notice still shows. Spoken turns use the voice already on your phone — mute them from the driving bar.
You can also change Android permissions later in Android Settings → Apps → StopSorted.
