Driver app

Pick a break time before you sort

Choose a clock time, midway through the run, or after the last stop — when the office (or your Play settings) allow it.

If the office turned on planned breaks, the app can ask when before it sorts the stop order. After the sort, a Break row sits in the stop list — tap Start break when you take it. The same button is on the StopSorted notification (and the map bubble) when the break is next.

Fleet phones

  1. Add your stops, then tap Ready to optimize.
  2. Answer VIP stops first? as usual (VIP areas, No — sort the route, or Keep this order). Break time is only asked when you sort — not when you keep this order.
  3. If your fleet allows it, you will see When is your break?
  4. Choose Set time, Midway, or End (only the options your office turned on).
  5. If you picked a set time, tap the clock and choose when it starts.
  6. Tap Sort the route.

The office sets how long the break is (Fleet Settings → Breaks → Default break length).

You will not see this screen if the office has not turned on driver-picked time / midway / end.

Play subscription

Set this in the app menu → Settings:

  1. Turn on Use planned breaks (off until you do). Turn it off to drop lunch from the sort and hide the break row.
  2. Tap + Add break.
  3. Choose Set time, Midway, or End.
  4. If you chose a time, tap the clock. Set how many minutes.
  5. Tap Save.

Before you sort, the app asks you to confirm when the break is taken. After the sort, tap Start break on the break row.
