Arrival windows and driver breaks

Optional fixed times, delivery windows, and planned breaks shape the sorted run.

Arrival times on stops

When adding a stop (Build Route or phone), you can set when it must be visited:

| Mode | What to enter | How the sort uses it | |------|----------------|----------------------| | Any time | Leave arrival blank | No time constraint | | Fixed time | Start time only, or the same start and end (e.g. 15:00) | Tight window around that clock | | Window | Start and end (e.g. 15:00–17:00) | Visit between those times |

The sorter tries to hit fixed times and windows. If a window makes the day impossible, the sort fails with a clear error instead of dropping the stop.

Jump to timed stops (optional)

Under Fleet SettingsRuns, turn on Jump to timed stops if you want phones to handle a late run during the day.

When this is on and a fixed time or window would be missed in normal stop order, the phone goes to that stop next, shows a short banner (e.g. “Next: #12 — due by 3:00”), then continues the run from the next unfinished stop number. Freight numbers do not change.

Off by default — drivers still follow sorted order unless you enable it for the fleet.

Driver breaks

Planned breaks are off until you turn them on.

  1. Open Fleet SettingsBreaks.
  2. Tick Use planned breaks. The phone then shows a break row after the sort, with Start break.
  3. If drivers choose when the break happens, tick one or both:
  • Allow driver to pick break start time
  • Allow driver to place break midway or at the end
  1. Set Default break length (minutes) — how long the break lasts. Required when either box is on. The phone asks When is your break? before sorting.
  2. Optional: add a fixed break only if the office sets the clock time (or midway / end) itself.
  3. Save — these are the fleet default for multi-phone and single-phone sorts.

Break length always stays as you set it. Drivers only pick when.

Override per phone under Devices → Device Settings (fleet default, no break, or custom). See Capacity and breaks.

If you turn on either driver option, the phone asks When is your break? after the priority-zones step and before the run is sorted. See Pick a break time before you sort.

Play drivers turn Use planned breaks on or off under app Settings, and add their own lunch there.
