Choose start and finish when making a route
Use the default depot, or tap Custom to search (or pick a recent address) for start and finish.
When your fleet allows it (or on a solo plan), you can set where the run starts and ends before you create it. The phone checks this setting when you tap New route, so you see Start and Finish as soon as the office turns it on for this phone.
Steps
- On Select route, tap New route.
- Enter a route name.
- Under Start and Finish:
- Keep Default to use the fleet (or your saved) address.
- Or choose Custom. A search popup opens — type the address; you’ll see Searching… after four characters, then results (Search is optional). Tap the X in the box to clear. Corner searches that start with CNR need four more characters after CNR (e.g. CNR Main). Tap a result, or tap a recent address. If there are No matches, tap Place on map, centre the pin, enter a name and/or address, then Confirm. Tap Cancel to keep the default.
- Tap Create & start.
If you only see the route name (no start/finish controls), your fleet has locked this phone to the depot defaults. The office can still change start/finish when they build a route for you.
Finish default: fleet finish address if set; otherwise the same place as start. After the last stop, the phone opens directions to Finish — not only for sorting the run.
