Split a run across phones

Cut a sorted run on the map and send each part to another phone.

When one phone has too many stops, split the run so other approved phones take the rest. The cut always follows a sorted stop order — never the order stops were typed in.

Before you start

  • Approve at least two phones under Devices.
  • Open the run on Routes (import or Build Route first if needed).

Steps

  1. Open Fleet Login → Routes.
  2. Expand the phone that owns the run.
  3. Tap Split on that route.
  4. If the run is not sorted yet, tap Sort run, then split — StopSorted sorts the whole list first so the map cut is useful.
  5. Tick one or more additional phones.
  6. Use the slider to choose the cut. The map shows this phone’s stops in blue and the other phones in red (and other colours if you split more than two ways).
  7. After the cut:
  • Locked (freight already numbered) — numbers stay as they are on every phone.
  • Otherwise choose Keep sorted numbers (recommended) or Re-sort each phone’s part after the cut (each phone gets its own 1…n order).
  1. Tap Commit split.

This phone keeps the first portion on the same route. Each other phone gets a new route for its portion. Phones refresh on the next sync.

Closing the dialog before Commit split changes nothing (except if you already tapped Sort run, then split, that sort is kept on the source run).
