You're halfway through a locked run. The depot calls: a customer needs their pallet now. You've got 40 stops left. Scrolling through a list while parked is a pain. You need to find that stop fast. This article shows you how to jump straight to any stop by freight number or address, even when the run is locked. No more fumbling. Just find, navigate, done.

How it works

When your run is locked, the stop order is fixed. That's good – it keeps your day predictable. But sometimes you need to jump ahead. The Find feature lets you search the locked list. You can search by freight number, stop number, or part of the address. Type a few characters, and the app shows matching stops. Tap one to jump to it. From there, you can navigate or mark it done. Voice search works too if your phone supports it. It's built for drivers who need answers fast, not a tech degree.

Step-by-step: Find a stop on a locked run

  1. Open the stop list. Tap the banner that says You have X stops left. Then tap Find #. Or go to Menu → Find stop #.
  2. Type a freight number, stop number, or part of the address. For example, type "12345" or "Smith St". The list filters as you type.
  3. To clear and search again, tap the X in the search box.
  4. If your phone offers voice search from the search field, tap the mic and say the number or address.
  5. Tap the stop you want. You'll jump to it in the list. From there, you can navigate to it or mark it done.

That's it. No unlocking, no re-sorting. Just find and go.

What the driver sees vs what the office sees

As a driver, you see a clean, numbered list. The Find feature is right there when you need it. You can search, jump, and keep moving. The office sees the same run on their map. They know your sorted stop order and can see when you mark a stop done. If you jump ahead to a stop, the office sees that update. They don't need to call you to check. Everyone stays on the same page.

Worked example: The urgent pallet

Let's say you're a solo driver with 30 stops. You're on stop 5 when the depot calls. A regular customer at stop 22 needs their pallet before noon. You're locked into your sequence, but you can jump to stop 22. You open the stop list, tap Find #, and type the freight number from the pallet. The app shows stop 22. You tap it, then tap navigate. You're on your way. You deliver the pallet, mark it done, and then continue with your run. The office sees the update. The customer gets their delivery on time. Without Find, you'd be scrolling and guessing. That's minutes saved, and a happier customer.

FAQ

Can I search by address if I don't know the freight number? Yes. Type part of the address, like the street name or suburb. The app will show matching stops. You can also search by stop number if you have it.

What if the run is locked? Can I still jump to a different stop? Yes. The Find feature works on locked runs. You can jump to any stop to navigate or mark it done. The locked order stays the same for the rest of the run, so you don't lose your sequence.

Does voice search work for freight numbers? It depends on your phone. If your phone offers voice search from the search field, you can tap the mic and say the number or address. It's handy when you're wearing gloves or in a hurry.

Will the office know if I jump ahead? Yes. When you mark a stop done, the office sees it on their map. They can also see which stop you're on. So if you jump ahead, they'll know. No need to call.
