Step-by-step: Load stops onto one phone

1. Open Fleet Login and go to Routes.

Make sure at least one phone is approved under Devices. If not, approve a phone first.

1. Select the phone you want to load.

For example, tap “Sam’s Pixel” to open its route list.

1. Tap Import CSV/Excel and choose your .csv or Excel file.

The file should be on your computer or accessible from your device.

1. Match columns if needed.

If your file uses these headers — address, suburb, postcode, company, items, priority — it loads straight away. Otherwise, you’ll match your columns to these fields. Address is required. For priority, use high, normal, or low (lowercase).

1. Name the run if prompted.

This helps the driver identify the route. Stops land on that phone’s run immediately.

That’s it. The driver opens the StopSorted app and sees today’s stops in sorted order.

What the driver sees vs what the office sees

The driver opens the StopSorted app and sees a numbered list of stops. Each stop shows the address, any items or company notes, and priority. They can tap a stop to open Google Maps or Waze for turn-by-turn directions, or use in-app turns. The stops are already in the best order for the day’s run.

The office (fleet controller) sees the same route in Fleet Login under Routes. They can check progress, see which stops are done, and export the route back to Excel if needed. The office can also add or reorder stops if plans change.

Worked example: From spreadsheet to sorted run

Mia runs a small delivery fleet in Melbourne. Every morning, she receives a spreadsheet from her client with 15 drop-offs. Previously, she’d print the list and hand it to her driver, who’d manually enter each address into a GPS app — taking 20 minutes and often causing wrong turns.

Now, Mia opens Fleet Login, selects the driver’s phone, and imports the CSV. The file has columns for address, suburb, postcode, and priority. She maps them in seconds. The stops load instantly, already sorted for the most efficient route. Her driver opens the app, sees the numbered stops, and taps the first one. Navigation starts. Exporting a sorted route back to Excel

Sometimes you need a copy of the route in spreadsheet form — for reporting, billing, or sharing with a customer. On the same phone’s route list, tap Export Excel on a route. You’ll download a file with the stops in sorted order. This is handy for record-keeping or when a client wants proof of the day’s stops.

Frequently asked questions

What file types can I import? You can import .csv or Excel files (.xls, .xlsx). If your file is in another format, save it as CSV first.

What if my column headers don’t match? You’ll be prompted to match your columns to StopSorted fields. The only required field is Address. Other fields like suburb, postcode, company, items, and priority are optional but help the driver.

Can I import stops for multiple phones at once? No — this import path loads one phone only. To split stops across several phones and sort them together, use Build Route. See Sort stops across phones and send.

How do I set priority for stops? In your spreadsheet, add a column named priority and use high, normal, or low. High-priority stops will be sorted first when possible.
